A Quick Getaway

Lilies and Lambs Moore House

Happy Monday, kids.

I fully intended to have a fresh post up for you this morning, but our weekend away got the best of me. If you follow along on Instagram, you likely saw some snaps of our two nights in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Its just about three hours away from home in Connecticut- making it a pretty doable trip with the family- including Georgia. And we had the most beautiful couple days with a few close friends and our little family.

We enjoyed fire pits, s’mores, a few dance parties and some delicious home cooked meals- Phil grilled some amazing steaks, breakfasts were mostly homemade and delicious, and paired with local coffee and donuts from the famous PV Donuts. And they were so dang good. One of our friends is from Brazil and she brought along some of her favorite Brazilian treats- and let’s just say I’m now addicted to Pão de Queijo. Which isn’t ideal for my waistline. But you only live once, right?

Yesterday we treated ourselves to a floral workshop with Phoebe of Weatherlow Florals, which was absolutely adorable and sparked a new-found love of seasonal wreaths in this house. They’re not just for Christmas, my friends. I’ll be sharing more of the home we stayed at and the workshop later, but for now I’ll leave you with a few snaps Phil took when we first arrived. It’s only a fraction of how cute the little home actually is, and I can’t wait to share more pictures soon.
