Happy Wednesday, friends!

Second week of summer is here, and we are adjusting to the quasi schedule we will have before heading to the mountains for a bit to escape the Charleston heat.

I’ve been spending the last few weeks scouring the internets in search of a few pieces for a much anticipated Nantucket wedding at the end of the summer. All the research has wedding guest dresses on my brain, and I thought ya’ll might be in need of some inspo, too.

Anthropologie is having a SALE on SALE- an extra 40% off sale prices, to be exact- and it ends tonight {July 5}. So I did the leg work for y’all and shopped it for you, rounding up my very favorites for mom, mini and home. I even snagged a few things for myself, but don’t shhh… don’t tell Phil. I am by no means a DIY’er, but I’ve been admiring the Liberty of London inspired handles on so many bags for spring that I thought I might try a little crafting this morning. I found this fabric on Etsy for under $10 per 1/4 yard and used only half of it to wrap the handles of one of my very favorite straw bags. The finished project came out SO cute, and gave it the perfect hint of floral for under $5.

By popular demand, here are the contents of my recent spring Zara haul. We all know I need another maxi dress like I need a hole in the head, but these were just too dang good to pass up. Plus, I’m gearing up for the impending South Carolina summer heat, so I’m justifying these purchases as survival gear.

Friday! We made it. It’s been a busy one over here at the Matkovic house with so many fun things coming up that I can’t wait to share. Aside from work, we are finishing up the room refresh of my office with Taylor from Home Taylored- just waiting on a few items to arrive and for the walls to be painted. I can’t wait to show you the color and finish we chose.

I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful weekend. Ours was filled with friends and family and lots of great food, and a little bit of tennis. Maddie found her racket, and I’ve been trying to get back into playing before summer arrives, so we decided to take an afternoon to hit a few balls as a family.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you probably know by now that I have become quite the fan of frozé since moving down south. I stumbled upon the Co-op on Isle of Palm late last year, and instantly fell for their their daily frozé selections and delicious salads and sandwiches. Every time I post about my frozé fix I get dozens of messages asking where one can find such a treasure. And while I always direct my southern friends to my local spot, I sadly, don’t have any recommendations for my friends up north.

Spring has officially sprung here in Charleston and it’s making my maxi-loving heart so stinking happy. I had heard rumors about how magical springtime is down here; and while the weather has been unseasonably finicky, it still has exceeded my expectations.

If you’ve watched my IG stories over the last six months, you’ve likely caught a glimpse of this space.

It’s been a work in progress, but after adding this piece of furniture and a few decorative elements, it’s now one of my favorite corners of our new home.

If you’ve been around here long enough, you probably know I’m a huge sucker for a seasonal set of PJs. I’ll never forget our first pair of matching heart-clad Roller Rabbits- I was so excited to have a twinning moment with our girl, and to get decked out for the holidays together.

So when I laid eyes on this matching heart sweatshirt + jogger situation it was, well, love at first sight.

This week was pretty much all about survival mode for me. I went on a premature running spree over the holidays- after a TWO year hiatus- and now find myself limping around with a tweaked knee. Just in time for my mama to head back home to California and leave me with not too much extra help. So I’ve been laying low, icing and elevating; and overall just trying to get back to normal so I can play with girls the way they deserve.

I first met Dudley Stephens roughly three years ago- via this blog, and in partnership with the always fabulous Monogram Mary for a Mother’s Day giveaway. It was my first time really in front of the camera- most of my partnerships and campaigns prior were focused around my mini- and I was so, so nervous to take these photos {here} with a little Maddie Mae.
