In My Bag: Packing for RI
Hi, friends! Happy Friday! It has been a WEEK over here, and I couldn’t be happier to be packed up and headed for a long weekend away with family and friends. Maddie is finally on the upswing, and we are ready for a good old fashion New England getaway.
This past April we stayed at the most charming Quonset Hut in Tiverton, RI, run by the Moore family. And we fell instantly in love. They do such an incredible job restoring and renovating properties in coastal Rhode Island, and providing everything a guest could need for an inviting and charming stay. This time around we will be staying a little longer, and will be enjoying a seasonal wreath making class at the property. And if all goes as planned, we’ll get a few holiday picture options while we’re there.
The weather forecast calls for sunshine, but some lower temps. So I packed lots of my favorite layering pieces- this cardigan, my favorite fleece, and a buffalo plaid coat for good measure. I’m bringing along my current go-to jeans, and a few plaid shirts like this and this. For the wreath making class and some holiday photographs, I plan on wearing a maxi dress similar to this one and this one here. And I’ll be bringing only a few pair of shoes- these mules for venturing out for dinner, and these booties that pair well with both jeans and dresses alike.
