This Connecticut summer has been a tricky one- weeks of sweltering heat and then, suddenly, it feels like fall. And while some members of my family wish that summer lasted all year long, this mama loves that sweet sweater weather more than cake. Which I love. A lot. So even though the past few days brought us some clouds and the occasional sprinkle, I was more than eager to pull out an extra layer or two to keep warm.

But what to do with a two-nager when the sun is hiding and rain looms? We hopped in the car for a morning of errands a few towns over- and visited one of our very favorite spots, Terrain in Westport. I could get lost in this dreamy shop for hours- give me all the succulents, luxurious candles and twinkle lights. It can be hit or miss when it comes to how MM will act once inside- because, terrific two's- but we enjoyed a solid stint perusing the different rooms and grabbing a hot cup of joe from the garden café. And mom couldn't help but pick up one of my very favorite candles, and some serafina gummies for my girl's sweet tooth.
