A Weekend in San Francisco

San Francisco Lilies and Lambs

If you follow along on Instagram, you know we just wrapped up a quick trip to beautiful San Francisco. It was one of those sweet weekends that made my heart hurt a little when it came to an end. Three days filled with so many of my favorite people from both coasts, the most perfect SF weather you could ask for, and lots of delicious eats and drinks.

Growing up with family rooted in Northern California, I've stayed at the Ritz Carlton San Francisco several time before. But this past weekend was our first visit back as a family of three. And in terms of child-friendliness, it left very little to be desired.

The accommodations for baby were all that we needed, down to a a comfy crib and adorable rubber ducky for bath time. And the hotel staff was beyond welcoming and friendly, making our stay even that much more comfortable.

Being that our trip was short as it was sweet, we were constantly on the go; but we were able to squeeze in some much needed down time as a family. MM loved exploring the hotel and its gardens, while mom and dad enjoyed a cocktail {or two} from the delicious lobby bar. And the grilled cheese and sweet potato fries weren't too shabby either.

Because we were just a quick walk from Union Square, we were able to spend a few early mornings aimlessly perusing the city with a hot cup of Joe in hand. We even stumbled upon one of cutest streets I ever did see- complete with twinkle lights and Chanel. Which just so happens to be the street where my mama bought her wedding dress some thirty-plus years ago.

It was just the quick trip we needed. One that reminded us that long weekends away are not only totally doable, but are good for the soul. Especially when you're with your very favorite people.
