If you follow along on Instagram, then you probably know by now that there’s one daily habit I absolutely swear by. Even on days I’m too busy- or lazy- to wash my hair, I make sure to carve out a few minutes to give myself a little Guasha facial massage.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago {here}, things are beginning to get a whole lot messier around here. Lila’s officially a fan of rice cereal, and it won’t be long before she’s eating all the mashed up fruits and veggies she can get her hands on. We’ve been loving these silicon bibs {here}; and now I have the perfect protection for the floors to match.

I’ve spent most of my life trying to be a smaller size. Thankfully, it never really got out of hand- aside from a few absurd crash diets in my high school and college years. But shrinking was always on my mind. I didn’t run to release endorphins. I didn’t spin to gain muscle. I didn’t eat greens or fruits or vegetables for nutrients. Being skinnier was always the goal.

This past week was a long one for me and the girls, thus explaining the radio silence over here on the blog.

Maddie was home for winter break, which, naturally, coincided with a three-day long fever that kept us cooped up at home most of the week.

Lila Lee turned five months old yesterday, and I can honestly say that I think we’ve officially found our stride as a family of four.

It was no easy feat; much more difficult than I had imagined. Maybe because there are four-plus years between our girls; maybe because I had resigned myself to the idea that we would have only one; maybe because she was a very, very welcome surprise.

Valentine’s Day is in just a few weeks, so to celebrate I teamed up with some of my favorite local entrepreneurs to create a little Valentine’s brunch tablescape to get us in the spirit.

As always, I looked to Winston Flowers for the florals- I love how all the different pops of pink came together, and how the designers created a romantic feel with these whimsical stems.

Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, kids. This week week started out a little strange, but we found our groove and so much joy in the simple routines of our daily life together. We’ve been focused on being present; and embracing all the tiny moments- good, bad and everything in between.

If you’ve been around here long enough, you probably know I’m a huge sucker for a seasonal set of PJs. I’ll never forget our first pair of matching heart-clad Roller Rabbits- I was so excited to have a twinning moment with our girl, and to get decked out for the holidays together.

So when I laid eyes on this matching heart sweatshirt + jogger situation it was, well, love at first sight.

Happy Friday! Did anyone else’s four-day week feel exceptionally long? Ours started off with a heater on the fritz- on the coldest day of the year, no less. We spent half our MLK day escaping the cold in Mom and Dad’s room, followed by a playdate at Chelsea Piers. I had forgotten how great their drop-in programs are for the kids, especially during the winter.

Splish Splash! Is there anything better than a chubby baby in a bath filled with bubbles? I think not. And, thankfully, both my girls have been big fans of bath time from the start.

Because you know I’m all about simple, delicious recipes that make it look like you’re a whiz in the kitchen, I just had to share this recipe a few days early.

This week was pretty much all about survival mode for me. I went on a premature running spree over the holidays- after a TWO year hiatus- and now find myself limping around with a tweaked knee. Just in time for my mama to head back home to California and leave me with not too much extra help. So I’ve been laying low, icing and elevating; and overall just trying to get back to normal so I can play with girls the way they deserve.

I first met Dudley Stephens roughly three years ago- via this blog, and in partnership with the always fabulous Monogram Mary for a Mother’s Day giveaway. It was my first time really in front of the camera- most of my partnerships and campaigns prior were focused around my mini- and I was so, so nervous to take these photos {here} with a little Maddie Mae.
