Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!

How is it the last one of the month? October has flown by, and I can’t believe our little babe is already seven weeks old! My thirty-fifth birthday is just around the corner in early November, but I’ll be celebrating with the girls this Saturday; and I can’t wait to get dressed up, kick back and enjoy a drink or two with some friends that I haven’t seen since before I found out we were having Baby Number Two.

Here are five of my favorites from this week:

one.

Goldbelly: Every holiday for the past year or so, I’ve received a delicious package from my mom via the online marketplace, Goldbelly. The website curates a collection of artisanal foods from local shops throughout the country- think lobster dishes from Maine, donuts from New York, brisket from Kansas City. This Halloween my mama sent us these yummy Día de los Muertos cookies from Elles Belles Bakery, and they’re just as tasty as they are spooky.

two.

Hu Chocolate: Speaking of sweet treats, I’ve been treating myself to a piece of chocolate {or two} at night. And I’ve found a new favorite in these Hu Chocolate bars. They’re free of refined sugar, dairy, emulsifiers and soy; and made with real ingredients. They’re a little pricey, but worth it IMO.

three.

Culotte High Ankle Jeans: Slowly but surely, I’ve been getting this postpartum body back into real clothes. It will be some time before I’m back in my pre-baby wardrobe, so I’ve been treating myself to a few new pieces here and there. I recently picked up this pair of high waisted jeans and they are ah-mazing- a flattering cut, just enough stretch and under $30. I’m sold.

four.

Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids: I’ve been getting Maddie’s haircut at Sharkey’s in Westport since her first cut a year and a half ago. I originally took her there for the ambience- Frozen car chairs, flat screens and balloons, oh my! But we keep going back because our girl Rhonda gives a great cut, and everyone is so so nice. And Maddie loves the complimentary manicure and balloon at the end.

five.

Zara Kids: I get a lot of questions about where I find MM’s dress; and, 9/10, the answer is Zara. I’ve been a huge fan of Zara kids since she was itty bitty. Their basics, like leggings and tees, fit her perfectly and are a great value. And their dresses are some of my very favorites. I love their sweet prints and embroidery {like on the dress above}, and the prices are typically pretty reasonable, which is always a plus.
