Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, folks! It’s been a long time since I’ve put together a Friday favorites post- well over a year- but it’s one of the weekly posts that I used to look forward to the most, and one that I’m super excited to get back to publishing regularly.

And now that we’ve lived here a full six months, I can’t wait to share so many Charleston gems that we’ve found since the big move.

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend here in the low country, and I can’t wait to enjoy some good food and cold drinks with some of our best friends and family. Cheers to a wonderful weekend ahead, and here are five of my favorites from the week:

One.

The Flower Truck / I found the Sweet Jessamine Flower Truck while strolling through Instagram during our first weeks in Charleston. She has the sweetest traveling flower truck that pops up at some of our favorite little spots around town. I love giving her a visit to grab a fresh bouquet for the weekend or special occasion- the bunch pictured above were for my mama’s 60th a few weeks ago. She also has a monthly delivery service that I’ve been meaning to check out. Follow her Instagram here for her pop up times and locations.

two.

The Getaway / If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you may have noticed our new love affair with Montage Palmetto Bluff. Located just two hours outside of Charleston, this oasis has become one of our very favorite spots. There are endless activities for the whole family- from clay shooting to Veuve bicycle picnic brunches to a kids club with full amenities. It’s such a special spot, and one we look forward to continue visiting as a family.

Three.

The Hot Sauce / There’s nothing that I love more than finding, and loving, local female-owned businesses. Since moving to Charleston I’ve had the pleasure of discovering so many of these gems- and Red Clay Hot Sauce is one of our faves. Their line of cold pressed, fermented hot sauces and hot honeys are top notch- we love the Hot Honey {here} drizzled on our weekly Brussels sprouts.

Four.

The Dinner Delivery / Weeknight dinners can be a little tricky in our house- every member of our family has a different palette. My kids are picky. My husband’s picky. We like to eat at different times, etc. My brother referred me to the meal delivery service, Factor_75, a few weeks ago and we’ve been hooked. They’re super easy to prepare, delicious and filling; and it’s the only way I’ve ever been able to get Phil to eat broccoli and zoodles. If you want to try, use my code here for $40 off your first order.

Five.

The Kid’s Shop / One of my favorite things about Charleston has been the abundance of small shops. There are so many cute boutiques all around the area, and I can’t get enough of all the shops for the littles. This past week my mom and I popped into one of my favorites, Pitt Street Kids, and she spoiled the girls with a few goodies. I’m in love with this sweet sunshine outfit she got for Lila. They made a matching midi dress for Maddie, but she won’t let me dress her anymore, so that was the end of that. And if you’re not local to Charleston, they have a wonderful website where you can shop and ship to wherever you live {here}.
