Fall Neutrals
In the past, I’ve been a sucker for fall flannels- buffalo plaids, tartans, different shades of reds, blues and greens.
But this year, I’ve found myself reaching for all the neutrals- an ivory car coat, sweaters in shades gray, taupe booties and leopard sneaks.
I’m typically not one for a capsule wardrobe, but having just a few staples in rotation has made getting dressed and ready all the simpler this autumn.
15 Floral Dresses to Transition to Fall
Hi, my name is Morgan, and I’ve never met a maxi dress I didn’t like.
So as much as I’ve complained about being SO pregnant in the heat of summer, it’s been good news for me that I‘ve been able to live in long, flowy dresses without judgment.
Festive Fall PJs
It’s been a rainy week so far in Connecticut. Making me crave lazy days by the fire; cozied up in our favorite blankets in our most festive seasonal pajamas. We’ve been quite dedicated to holiday pajamas since MM arrived- matching Christmas sets being our most favorite.
Life Lately
Where, oh where, did September go? It feels like this month has flown by- and I can’t believe that in just one week we’ll be welcoming October. If you’ve been around for a while, you know this is my favorite time of year. There’s just something so refreshing about the start of the school year; about the weather changing and the welcome of crisp nights, football season, bonfires and chunky knits.
Fall Wish List
Fall, is that you?
Give me a few fallen leaves and some crisp, cool nights and I’m all in. If you don’t believe me, take a glance at me feed: it’s all chunky knits and plaids and deep, burnt browns. We’ve had our first official Sunday Football gathering of the season- complete with wings and bloodies and our very first September fire. And while I’ve grown to love summer, I’m so very happy to be knee deep in autumn.
Pumpkin Pickin'
Since my husband and I were first married {four years ago this Thursday} we have taken an annual trip to our local nursery to enjoy their Pumpkin Patch and fall festivities.
Easy Apple Crisp
When your husband says its the best dessert you've ever made, you take it for what its worth. When he eats the entire crisp in one sitting and demands you make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas, you start to believe he really likes it.
Fall Bucket List
Just like that, it's halfway through September; and, in my mind, fall has arrived. There's a crisp breeze in the morning, leaves are falling, our girl is officially in preschool, and there's halloween candy and pumpkins in the markets.
Semi Homemade Candy Corn
Growing up my mother would always tell me stories of her own childhood holidays- recounting stories of hours in the kitchen with her grandmother, making homemade candies by the dozens. Its a sweet memory of hers that I cherish as well- one that conjures nostalgic images of a perfectly simpler time. Maybe a ham baking in the oven, adults drinking egg nog, Bing on the record player. No iPhones, no Sonos, no video chat. Just a little girl making memories.
