The Perfect Sprinkle Gifts With Sammy + Nat

This coming weekend my sweet mama will be throwing a little sprinkle for me and baby number two, and I can’t wait to celebrate our happy miracle with some of our closest friends and family from across the country.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve gotten a lot of requests for a registry for the event; but, truthfully, being that this is our second girl, there isn’t a whole lot we need this time around.

Green Luxury with Finn + Emma

The only thing better than receiving beautiful baby gifts, is finding the perfect treats for your dear friends and their bundles of joy.

Particularly when the goods aren't only gorgeous, but are organic and eco-friendly to boot.

I found Finn + Emma recently whilst shopping for a great friend's sweet baby girl- and I instantly fell in love with their whimsical prints and super green philosophy. Because I met  Finn + Emma via their website {here}, I didn't get to feel the quality of these charming garments until they actually arrived- and boy, was I pleasantly surprised.

There's a whole LOT to plan when you're expecting. So it's no surprise that your hospital bag, and all the essentials a new mama will need, often goes overlooked. As the neurotic planner I am, I had mine packed a few weeks before MM was due: which turned out just peachy, seeing as the trickster was three weeks early.  That being said, I would have appreciated a service that fixed that little bag up for me; as baby brain and packing don't always mix, and I certainly missed a few must-haves.

No Matter What

Since MM was an itty bitty newborn, we've always taken a few minutes before bed time to read stories to our girl. Over the past year we have acquired a few favorites- Giraffes Can't DanceLlama Llama Red PajamaI Love You Stinky Face- children's books that have now become some of my most loved stories. And since day one, our favorite has been an adorable book about a little one's worries called No Matter What- a sweet story that I can now recite blindfolded.

Oliver and Adelaide

When I was pregnant and it came time to register for my shower, I was clueless. Beyond a car seat and stroller, there were so many "must haves" that I was in the dark about. With a little research, I unveiled a whole world of newborn essentials- from Diaper Genies and Mama Roo's to Nose Freidas and Baby Bjorns. Yes mamas, we need things like this for our bundle of joy. But we also need a few of the more beautiful but oh-so-necessary trinkets for baby- burp clothes and bibs, blankies and booties, onesies and sweaters. And when celebrating a mom-to-be, who doesn't love to add a bit of luxury when showering the ones we love?

Monogram Everything

Four years back in my native town in New England, and I've officially caught the preppy bug.

This weekend I wore Vineyard Vines + Roberta Roller Rabbit, and even toted a Lily beer bucket to the beach. It just felt right.

As for Madeline, I've dressed her up as a mini-prepster from the beginning- she wears corals and prints; seersucker and gingham; and has just about every pair of RRR PJ's on the market. The girl's collection of Lily dresses is enviable, and a peter pan collar was made to frame that little face. And now that I've found the most adorable monogram shop, I've taken this look to a whole new level.

Monogram Mary has spurred a monogram craze in this household- a fun and easy way to make Maddie's pieces just a hint more special.

We started with an adorable red, white and blue number for the holiday weekend, and some super sweet Roberta Roller Rabbit PJs- successfully making this blue pair of PJs just a touch more girly with a pop of hot pink.

Bowtique | La Buffina Bows

I didn't have a substantial head of hair until I was at least two years old. My mother tells me I would be all dressed up in pink and strangers would still compliment her on her cute baby boy. Being that I was a toddler, I could understand - and would, naturally, respond with a scowl. So my mother took to Velcro-ing bows to the tiny hairs on my bald head; although I'm not sure it helped.
