Easy Apple Crisp
When your husband says its the best dessert you've ever made, you take it for what its worth. When he eats the entire crisp in one sitting and demands you make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas, you start to believe he really likes it.
A Day At Silverman's Farm
This past week we packed up the kiddos and headed to one of our favorite local farms, Silverman's Farm in Easton, CT. My husband and I have been going for the last four years- sometimes for the apple picking, sometimes for the pumpkins, always for the apple cider donuts.
Friday Favorites
If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that there's really nothing that beats some good 'ole fashion family time. And lucky for us, so much of our crew lives so close by. So yesterday my sister-in-law and I loaded up all the cousins on their day off from school and headed to our favorite little farm to pick apples and see some pumpkins.
Schedule
Fall Bucket List
Just like that, it's halfway through September; and, in my mind, fall has arrived. There's a crisp breeze in the morning, leaves are falling, our girl is officially in preschool, and there's halloween candy and pumpkins in the markets.
ABCs + Apple Crisp Muffins
First day of school down, and I have to say: both mom and mini didn't do half bad. Actually, if we're being honest, she did better than the former.
I carried her into her classroom, yes; and while she played shy for 15 seconds, as soon as her little pink sneaker hit that floor she was off. And she never looked back.
Friday Favorites
And just like that, it's Friday. Gotta love a good four day week after a beautiful long weekend. This week brought some remnants of summer- sunshine, warmth and all- mixed with a few showers. On those chillier mornings I happily embraced the upcoming season with plaids, plum tones and a hint of pumpkin spice.
A Few Favorite Firsts {So Far}
My girl starts her very first day of school next week, and its making me just a tad emotional.
Yes, I'm very {very} excited to have a few hours to myself, a few days a week- to get some work done, tidy up the house and run the occasional errand that just can't be done with toddler in tow.
Craving For Fall
I catch a lot of slack for my love of fall. That first breezy September morning and I'm hooked on autumn, even though we have a few weeks left of our dear friend summer. Lucky for me, its been a cool few weeks- the mornings just crisp enough to warrant a wrap to cozy up with my cup of joe.
August Roundup
Oh, hay September.
Now we begin the start of my favorite third of the year- apple picking, back-to-school shopping, football and fire pits are just around the corner. And while this summer was just as stunning- and not too hot- as ever, I'm giddy as a school girl to welcome the last stint of the season and the beginning of fall.
Tips + Tricks To an At-Home Glow
Since becoming a mom, I've had a total of a whopping ONE professional facials.
No, no my skin hasn't miraculously become flawless since entering motherhood. In fact, its quite the opposite. My thirties has brought me lots of amazing qualities, sure; but its also brought on a predilection for acne, redness and dryness.
Crazy Little Thing Called Mom
Yesterday, I did something foolish- as I do nearly every day.
I desperately tried to enjoy a meal out. At a restaurant. With my toddler.
Crate Space
Since becoming a mom, I've been very into services that make my life easier.
At home blow outs? Worth the extra few dollars. Grocery delivery? Sure, sign me up. Diaper subscriptions? Count me in.
So when I came across Crate Space I did a little happy dance.
Prudence
This past weekend we celebrated my littlest sister and her engagement to her long time love. If you follow along on Instagram, then you already know we were on a boat. And it was lots and lots of fun.
Its been a while since there's been a wedding to celebrate in the family- and while they've been engaged a few months now, there was something about everyone coming together to celebrate that made it so real. And it brought out all the feels.
A Night With Mezzetta
If you follow along on Instagram, then you know we spent last night enjoying some tasty dishes, amazing cocktails and great company at the Mezzetta table. Who knew that a little peperoncini could be so versatile- and can transform such a variety of dishes into vibrant, zesty takes on classic favorites?
DIY Lemonade Stand with Peapod
BBQ's, Fireworks, Baseball and Lemonade Stands do All-American summers make.
Growing up, I can remember whipping up a batch of lemonade and setting up shop at the end of our street, eagerly awaiting to greet thirsty customers and collect my coins on a hot summer day. It's a quintessential summer memory, and one that I had hoped to share with MM one day.
