DIY Lemonade Stand with Peapod

Growing up, I can remember whipping up a batch of lemonade and setting up shop at the end of our street, eagerly awaiting to greet thirsty customers and collect my coins on a hot summer day. It's a quintessential summer memory, and one that I had hoped to share with MM one day.

So when Madeline and her cousins wanted to make their very own stand, I couldn't wait to help them create the perfect one.

Before taking to Pinterest for some DIY inspiration, I turned to my go-to delivery service, Peapod , to order up the essentials in a jiffy. Within 24 hours, our Minute Maid® Lemonade and FUZE® tea were at our doorstep- ready to be transformed into perfectly refreshing drinks to sell. We opted to spice up our beverages with fragrant garnishes- creating a flowery Lemon Honey Lemonade and citrusy Mint Lemon Tea {recipes below}. Both of which were total crowd pleasures, while still being super easy to make as a family.

When creating our stand, I wanted to make it pretty, functional, and simple enough for the kiddos to create. Four wooden crates stacked atop one another created the base- secured with zip ties- while a simple piece of ply wood acted as the counter. We decorated with string, triangle banners, clothes pins, and hand painted signs. And vintage-looking mason jars with paper straws served as our glassware.

And because summer days can make you a bit peckish, we also served up popcorn served in paper cones, made from pretty pineapple printed paper picked up from a local craft shop.

It was a day filled with sunshine, laughter, and lots of delicious Minute Maid + FUZE- and was the perfect way to bond as a family while creating summertime memories they'll cherish forever.
