Charleston Must-Haves Mother's Day Giveaway

I am so excited to finally share our Mother’s Day Giveaway- a curated prize made up of goodies from all my favorite local shops.

Consider this an extension of my Charleston Black Books - here and here. After seven months of calling this place home, these are my tried and true Charleston must-haves:

Scroll down for a full list of prices.

The Hotel

Hotel Bennett will always have a special place in my heart- it’s where we stayed when we visited Charleston to house hunt last summer, and it’s where we were when we fell in love with our new city and found our new home. It’s still one of our go-it’s for a cocktail, and the hotel I always recommend to anyone visiting.

The Facial

If you’ve been around for a while, you know that so can’t live without my Guasha facials. I found Sweet 185 for their sugar hair removal- they’re the best- and was happily surprised when I discovered they also offer facials, including my beloved Guasha. I treated myself to a 70 minute service a few months back and the results were both instant and incredible. Giuliana is the best.

The Salon

Few things gave me anxiety about our move down south last year, but finding someone to manages these tresses was one of them. Thankfully, I found Lash Allen early into our move, and I’ve never looked back. The cut. The color. The company of it all. He’s a gem, and his salon IX Artistry is beyond stunning.

The SwEAt studios

For the last seven months The Works and The Works Cycle have become two of my very favorite spots in town. I had so desperately missed a group fitness class for most of 2020, and was so happy to join in a soulful sweat sesh in those first weeks I lived here. Now, I visit these studios multiple times a week- it doesn’t get much better than a 60 minute Sculpt Vinyasa with Queen Sarah Frick; and their pop-up spin studio has delivered some of my very favorite spin classes ever. And while their pop-up is epic, IMO, I can’t wait to see their brand new spin studio, right next door to The Works Downtown, in just a few months!

the kids shop

If you’re looking for the perfect combination of classic and contemporary styles for the kiddos then Pitt Street Kids would be the place. I stumbled upon this sweet shop a few months ago and it’s been my one of go-to’s for newborn gifts, stocking stuffers, and matching outfits for the girls. Their selection of bloomers and tops are my absolute favorite for LL, and Maddie always loves tinkering in their play area while I shop around. And if you aren’t local to CHS, they have a wonderful site you can shop from home here.

The Dress Shop

We all know I have an absolute maxi dress addiction, and living seven minutes from Monkee’s of Mount Pleasant has only made matters worse on that front. Their selection of midi and maxi dresses is the best I’ve ever seen; I’m not quite sure how they do it, but every single day they receive new beauties that I lust after. If dresses aren’t your thing, they also boast a wonderful array of home decor, jewelry, denim and shoes. But y’all know I’m forever in it for the dresses.

The Gift Shop

Nellie and Lo is the sweetest gift shop, filled with amazing goodies. Founded by Connecticut transplants like myself, Nellie and Lo is my recommended go-to for a hostess gift or unique and clever trinkets for yourself or someone special.

The Housewarming Gift

I met Sage to the People via Instagram and was so happy to learn they’re a local, female founded small business. Some of my very favorite things. Not only that, she makes the most stunning sage bundles that now adorn our new home. With so many people moving these days, there’s really nothing I better than a beautiful sage to bring new energy to a space. And STP are the prettiest around by far.
