And just like that, its the first Friday in August.

Does anyone else feel like this summer is flying by, but also has yet to really start? I think this crazy weather here in Connecticut is throwing us all for a loop. This week we enjoyed some super sunny mornings and afternoons at the beach: MM and I enjoyed some one on one time, had playdates with some friends, and tried SUPing for the first time as a family. And in case you're wondering, that 'ish is NOT easy. I think I was out on the water for roughly two minutes before my legs started shaking; while Phil skated around the ocean like a breeze.

The rest of the days were met with a mixture of insufferable humidity and insane storms- most of which lasted about six minutes. Insert hard eye roll here.

But despite the erratic weather, we had a great family filled week. We went to a few brunches, tried out a new local coffee spot, and continued to do some major organizing of the house. And because Phil was home most mornings, I was able to sneak out and a do a bit of work on this little blog- I've been working with some local vendors and businesses to bring you some great back to school giveaways, so be sure to stay tuned on Instagram {here}.
