After weeks of anticipation, our Aspen girls’ trip has finally arrived. Yesterday we headed west for a weekend of ski, spa and lots of toasts in celebration of my baby sister’s upcoming wedding.

This trip marks my second time boarding a plane without MM since she arrived. It’s a funny thing leaving your kiddo behind- as a mom it’s something you both look forward to and dread, somewhat equally. But as much as my heart hurt a little to leave her, I also know a few days away is sometimes just what the doctor ordered.

I’m looking forward to exploring this little town and enjoying all it has to offer; it’s my first time in Colorado, so if you’re familiar with Aspen comment below with your favorite spots.
