My 2018 planner that is already getting put to good use.

Last night we packed up the car and headed north for a magical night aboard the Polar Express in Essex, CT. I had high hopes, and they were far exceeded. Madeline LOVED it; and was happily entertained for the full 90 minute train ride. It was beyond adorable- complete with singing, Santa and lots of hot chocolate- spiked with some Schnapps for Mom and Dad.

Friends have been raving about this holiday event, and we were lucky enough to snag some tickets in early September. And even then we had to settle on seeing Santa pre-Thanksgiving. These tickets go quick. If you're local, I highly recommend "liking" the Essex Steam Train on Facebook {here} to be the first to know when tickets go on sale.
