To Do: Stamford Museum + Nature Center

Now that my mini is essentially a toddler- one with a lot of energy and very little desire to nap- I rely on our daily acitivities big time. Maddie loves getting out of the house and exploring- exerting that energy, meeting new people, seeing new things, and learning about her ever-growing world. I sometimes forget just how amazing it is to watch her see something for the first time- like a turkey gobble as it wobbles right before her; a llama kissing its mama; or a cow licking its nose.

Yes, we depend on our outings- both mom and mini- and yesterday was no exception. We enjoyed the sunshine and breeze, met some barnyard friends, explored historical barns and scaled a playground pirate ship at our nearby nature center: Stamford Museum and Nature Center.

For those of you in the area- it's a must for littles. Even if just to run around a bit between school and dinner-time.

And here's a tip: check your local library to check out a pass for free admission; although a membership is well worth it for locals.
