I've Got Sunshine
If I ever had expectations for my first Mother's Day, they were far exceeded this past weekend.
My tribe outdid themselves: Friends sent happy wishes; in-laws joined us for brunch; my mama sent me a very unnecessary, but much appreciated, bouquet of my favorite flowers; and the sunshine finally broke through- a welcome treat after what felt like weeks of gloominess.
I truly meant it when I said all I wanted was to be Maddie's Mom this Mother's Day, and I got a dose of that, too; but being able to enjoy the beautiful day outside with the two loves that makeup my family was absolute perfection.
Add a trip to an art opening at the Brant Foundation- in this beyond gorgeous town we get to call home- and the weekend couldn't be beat.
How did you celebrate the loves in your life this past weekend?
Can't wait to bring this nugget to polo matches this summer.

Mesmerized by her first art exhibit...
... And her first introduction to Mr. Ed.
Just a few weeks ago we celebrated six months in our new home. On March 14, to be exact. I cannot believe we have lived here for half a year. It’s still so crazy at times to think we moved our little family of four, plus two fur babies, down south in the middle of a pandemic. But did it we did, and are so happy to be in our cozy home and to finally enjoy a bit of a routine. It was a tad hectic there for a bit- with so many changes and so little routine- but over the last few months we’ve found our groove again, and we’ve made a few simple changes that has helped make life just a little bit easier these days.
