Maddie's Bunk Bed Glow Up with Max & Lily
Well, friends, it’s been about a year and a half, but the blog is back.
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you already know it’s been an unexpected few years. But we’ve settled in, and are loving life in our Charleston home.
When we moved Maddie was just five years old- she turns 8 next month, how?!- and her room was still in somewhat of a transition phase. Recently she started asking for more of a “teenage” room. And while I’m not mentally prepared for any of that, I did agree that her room needed a big of an upgrade.
The first step was the bed- we swapped her white queen for this beautiful pecan bunk with trundle from Max & Lily. And I can’t believe the difference this small change made. This new set up instantly freed up so much space in her room while also allowing more capacity for sleepovers with friends and family. The wood elevates the feel of her room to be slightly more sophisticated without being too serious; and I love how it compliments the bright pink pineapples.
Added Bonus: Not only is it super pretty, but it was also incredibly easy to assemble and is beyond comfy.
Now time for a slumber party…
