Napa Part II

A few short months ago we ventured out west to visit family in California's wine country. It was beautiful as always, and as I mentioned before, it was a pleasant surprise to find the trip to Napa just as enjoyable as ever with the addition of our Madeline. The week was spent at the beautiful Carneros Inn- lounging, eating, visiting, and of course drinking lots of wine. And although we didn't spend too much time venturing to different vineyards, we did indulge in one day of tastings at some of the town's most beautiful wineries.

The shining star of the day? Kelham Vineyards in St. Helena. The grounds are truly breathtaking; replete with lush gardens, charming barns, and impressive outdoor kitchen and dining. The wine is beyond- making chardonnay converts out of all of us- and the lunch served during our private tasting still has me salivating. And perhaps the best part was that MM could run around to her hearts content; exploring the greenery and grinning the day away while mom and dad indulged in a glass or two together.
