Cinnamon Sugar Orange Garland + Garnish
Yesterday my little elves were up before the sunrise, and we were greeted with the most beautiful dusting of snow. We had a a few hours to kill in the morning, so I decided to whip up some dehydrated oranges with my first girl. I’ve made them a few times before- they always leave the house smelling so sweet and are so pretty strung up as a pop of color in some holiday garland.
And this year, I was so happy to have MM help. We combined cinnamon, sugar and a dash of sea salt in a bowl and sprinkled over some thinly sliced oranges on a parchment lined cookie sheet, and baked on low {200 degrees} for 3 hours. After they cooled, we strung them on some string and left a few for a cocktail garnish for mom and dad.
They paired perfectly with this Seedlip Non-Alcoholic Spice Spirit and my favorite Fever Tree Tonic; and I love how it looks with the eucalyptus and garland {both from our local Trader Joes} above our kitchen window. If you’re looking for a easy holiday diy to do with this kiddos, this is it! Happy dehydrating!
