Friday Favorites
Was anyone else super excited to get back into the swing of things after MDW? For the first time in a long time I was so ready to get back to our routine... Right before summer vacation comes and throws us for a loop :)
But truly, I’ve learned our family thrives on routine, and it’s something I’ve come to look forward to after a weekend away from it. This week was a quickie- Maddie had her first swim meet of the season, I had a few appointments, and really dove back into this space.
Routine. Feels good to be back.
Here are a few Friday Favorites for you, just like old times…
ONE.
The Product / I’m hooked on all things Vacation. The smell. The vibes. The skin protection. All of it. I love the retro feel of the Orange Gelee, and the kids can’t get enough of the Classic Whip. Also, the merch is five stars IMO. I grabbed mine at Monrowe by Meg McMillion {see no. 5}.
TWO.
The Brunch / Last weekend we braved brunch with both kiddos and ended up having one of the top dining experiences of our lives. See what happens when you take a risk? Sometimes it just works out better than you ever expected. The Sorelle brunch was absolutely incredible. We sat in the wine room, which was private and perfect for the littles. We all tried a bunch of things, and there wasn’t one plate that was less than superb. The caviar service was impeccable. The Roman Toast has forever changed me. The pizza- perfection. If you’re looking for something truly special, this is a must.
THREE.
The Studios / Today is the grand opening of The Works Renew and I cannot wait to get in that room. I’ve been a die hard Works girl since we moved here four years ago- The Works Cycle is my go-to, mixed with a little steamy flow at The Works. I’m so looking forward to adding some chill, restorative movement to the mix at their new studio starting today.
FOUR.
The Podcast / A few months ago I had the privilege of being interviewed by my longtime Instagram friend, Suzanne Warye, for her podcast, The Sober Mom Life Podcast. I agreed to do the podcast after sharing that I had committed to Dry January. I wasn’t quite sure how long the break from alcohol would last, but five months later, I’m still enjoying a life without it. If you’re sober or sober curious, her pod is a must. Check out my conversation with Suzanne here.
FIVE.
The Salon / I’ve been going to Jay at Monrowe by Meg McMillion for a little over a year now, and I can’t say enough good things. He came to the rescue for a hair emergency right before my sister’s wedding, and I never looked back. Located in West Ashley, the salon is the most beautiful, bright space that always has fresh florals and a life size portrait of Stevie. Need I say more? No, but I will- all the stylists are super friendly and talented; and Meg carries a carefully curated, drool-worthy array of products that I can’t get enough of- her selection of Vacation products is unmatched, pictured above. If you’re looking for a change, I cannot recommend this spot enough. If you’re not local and just want some eye candy, check out their instagrams here and here.
