Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, kids. This week week started out a little strange, but we found our groove and so much joy in the simple routines of our daily life together. We’ve been focused on being present; and embracing all the tiny moments- good, bad and everything in between. And so we said “goodbye” to the iPad at the beginning of the week; and its amazing what a difference it has made. I’m sure she’ll be enjoying some screen time over the weekend- or when we venture out to restaurants- but for now, I’m enjoying the much-needed hiatus.

This weekend we have no real plans. Phil’s beloved Patriots won’t be playing Sunday, which means zero pressure in our house for the big game. Just all the food, and drinks.

one.

The Football Food / I first made these buffalo chicken stuffed jalapeño poppers a few years back, and they instantly became a favorite. They’re so yummy and are the perfect snack for Game Day. Pair with this bloody or an iced cold beer, and you’re all set.

two.

The Reusable Food Bag / At the beginning of the year I stocked up on these reusable snack/food bags in a variety of colors and sizes. It was embarrassing how many plastic bags I was using, and I knew I had to make a change. I’ve been using them daily for Maddie’s school snacks and lunches; and I use the larger ones for leftover storage in the fridge. Plus they’re freezer, dishwasher, microwave and boiling water safe- so there’s really nothing they can’t do.

three.

The Netflix Series / I know I’m a little late to the game here, but I am LIVING for Cheer. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve gasped. It’s amazing, and I need to spend an entire day with Jerry. Ok, maybe a week. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and stream that ‘ish this weekend.

four.

The Local Cookware Shop / If you follow along on Instagram, you may well know that I had a TIME finding a tablecloth for a tablescape collaboration I did this past week. I spent the better part of a week scouring Fairfield county for something Valentine’s Day-ish. Home Goods, Anthropologie, Target, and a few others all failed me. I asked my Insta-friend and decor guru Diana if she knew of anywhere local, and she immediately directed me to Consider the Cook in New Canaan. It was the cutest little shop with the nicest lady working there- and, thankfully, they had just what I needed.

five.

The Plant-Based Skincare / Free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and fragrance, this non-toxic skincare line is made for moms by moms, and has some pretty awesome products. I love their lightweight, super absorbent baby lotion and nourishing massage oil. And their multipurpose healing balm- free of petroleum and silicon- has quickly become my all-natural Aquaphor substitute.
