Gifting Tiny Gardens

And just like that- another Mother’s Day is upon us. It’s crazy how time flies in this season of life- in this chapter called Motherhood.

This year will be my third Mother’s Day as a proud mama- as the happy recipient of flowers and chocolates and crafts made by tiny toddler fingers.

I’ve learned so much in the last few years:

That this job is tough- much tougher than I had imagined.

That there will be sleepless nights, and growing pains and tantrums.

There will be boo-boo’s and tears and sticky, stained clothing.

But there will be joy- an abundance of it.

And us mamas are nothing if not strong; and  the love that comes with this job pales in comparison to any strife.

So in these past few years of motherhood- in all these lessons-I’ve learned so much about my own mother. How many nights she must have gone without sleep; how many showers she forfeited; how much she worried; how much she dried our tears and rocked us to sleep. And now, more than ever, I want to show her how much she means on this Mother’s Day.

For more than 40 years, 1-800-Flowers.com® has been a leader in showing us mamas love on Mother’s Day.

If you follow along on Instagram, you may have noticed my recent affinity for indoor plants. From our beloved fiddle fig tree to all sorts of succulents, our living space has been given a floral facelift.

There’s nothing quite like a little greenery to spruce up a home. So when it came to choosing an arrangement to gift my mother this year, I was so happy to discover my go-to 1-800-Flowers.com now carries a beautiful assortment of plants and succulents to gift this season.

I chose this tiny garden to show my mama how much she means to us- the succulents lasting long past Mother’s Day, serving as a thoughtful, daily reminder of our appreciation.
