You guys: J. Crew is having a sale. All. Weekend. Long

And I’m pretty much loving all their fall goodies. It’s been a while since I’ve really invested in updating my wardrobe. My lifestyle has changed so much since becoming a mom- and my idea of of feeling “dressed” has shifted along with it. But this season I’ve decided to take full advantage of the savings and spruce up my closet a bit.

Typically, I spend most of my weekdays in work-out clothes, especially the mornings.  I like to sneak in a quick class here and there while Maddie’s at school, so drop-off is most definitely done in my favorite Lulus and Soul Cycle tanks. But lately I’ve found a few easy pieces that I can quickly throw on post-shower- they’re comfy and casual and make me feel pulled together; but can take me from school pick-up to a quick date night in a jiff. 

I grabbed this sweater and cardigan- both of which are so cozy, but can be dressed up a bit with a velvet jean or a cute flat like these. 

These toothpick jeans have been part of my mom uniform for some time now. They have the perfect amount of stretch and look great with sneaks, mules, ballet flats or booties.  

I’m a sucker for a nice fall plaid, and love how this one would look peeking out of an oversized knit like this turtleneck or this poncho.

I’ve also been playing around with adding some hats and hair accessories to the mix. I love this hat for crisp fall days and this bow for a night out.

And this rust color bag gives me all the autumn vibes; plus it has a cross body strap to keep my mama-hands free. Which is an absolute must these days.
