Baby Girl Brands

Before I had MM I had a very specific vision of how I'd dress my mini. I pictured a trendy little girl clad in gender-neutral tones and cool Marc Jacobs-style prints. And no pink. None. So I guess if memory serves me,  I more took a firm stance on how I was not going to dress her: No pink. No frills. No lace. No Peter Pan collars. No prep. Nothing girly. And in the end, this list of "no's" couldn't more accurately describe my daughter's entire 'drobe- the contents of which scream "Little French Girl" much more than the kidchella-vibe I had envisioned. And I couldn't be happier to be so wrong, or more envious of a little girl's duds. From sweet Mary Janes to cozy cashmere, here are a few of our favorite baby girl brands:

Bonpoint

We stumbled across the Bonpoint Soho storefront one snowing afternoon in the last few months of my pregnancy, and it was love at first sight. The colors, fabrics and prints made me a little teary eyed as I envisioned my unborn baby girl someday dressed in those beautiful threads. Their dresses, cardigans, and tops are my favorites- and are pieces that I am sure Maddie will give to her own baby some day. For special occasions or a gift for a very special babe, this is the place to go.

Jacadi

And enter all the pink and frills. My mom was a Jacadi-pusher from day one. I was hesitant at first, as it was everything I thought I didn't like. But there is just something about a baby girl in Liberty prints and embroidery that just feels right.

Baby Gap + Gap Kids

For basics. All day long. Maddie lives in their basic leggings and was a Gap onesie babe from the very start. Love their little dresses and sweaters too. And with sales running constantly, there is never a reason to pay full price for anything at Gap, which makes mama happy.

Tucker and Tate

I found Tucker and Tate at trusty ol' Nordstrom. I love their dresses, boots and tops- particularly in their muted fall colors. And their thermal tee's are a must- layering them all year round.

L'Amour

If you follow along on Instagram then you know I'm crazy over L'Amour baby shoes. Currently I'm obsessing over their T-Straps: they're perfect for every day, but pretty enough to wear with a dress. And the "buckle" is actually a velcro strap, making them easy to slip on and off. And when the days get just a bit chillier I'll be dressing MM in their perfect little booties.
